Reaffirming its expertise in commercial textile floor coverings, Forbo Flooring Systems has curated a refreshed colour palette for three of its core design ranges within the Tessera collection of carpet tiles: Layout, Outline and Inline.
These latest updates reflect the ever-evolving colour trends within education and office interiors, shifting the Tessera palette from bright, bold and eccentric accents to more muted and softer styled colourways, in turn enhancing its compatibility with modern design.
Layout, Outline and Inline form a versatile family of ranges with connecting yarns and colours, helping specifiers and contractors to create complementary schemes all at an accessible entry-level price.
Manufactured and stocked in Lancashire, UK, the updated Layout and Outline ranges consist of a selection of 41 colourways, (34 Layout and 7 Outline) each bringing a new level of elegance to the low-level loop category of carpet tiles. While Layout offers a more subtle texture and block colour palette, Outline showcases a refined linear stripe that features highlight colours present in the Layout range.
Accompanying Layout and Outline is Tessera Inline, with the multi-level loop construction providing a unique pattern and texture. Available in 12 colourways, each incorporating subtle pops of colour in more muted tones, its geometric and linear patterning is subtle and soft, ideal for a wide range of commercial locations.

Tessera Layout, Outline and Inline are all available in 50cm x 50cm tiles. Designed and made in the UK using 100% renewable energy (electricity and biogas), they contain a minimum of 61% recycled content and offer low embodied carbon of less than 4kg e/m2 (A1-A3) without offsetting. The ranges are made with 100% solution dyed polyamide, making them hard-wearing and achieving class 33 for commercial use, ideal for sectors like workplaces and education. As well as ensuring healthier indoor environments with its Indoor Air Comfort Gold and GUT certification.
Forbo further expands its efforts towards sustainable standards with its partnership with The Salvation Army and support of the Take Back scheme. Creating opportunities to re-use recycled carpet tiles, support local communities and benefit the environment, reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
