In anticipation of the publication of the Every Home Counts report by Peter Bonfield, the Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) has launched a new campaign, ‘Just INCAse’ to demonstrate the quality of its membership.
Launched at the INCA Awards 2016 in October, the new Just INCAse campaign makes it clear that anyone looking to specify or have external wall insulation (EWI) installed should ‘choose quality workmanship every time’ and ‘look for the logo you can trust’.
INCA members must meet recognised standards of competence and INCA membership is the mark of quality on any job. The campaign is targeted at all buyers of EWI including homeowners, main contractors, architects, specifiers and social landlords.
The Just INCAse campaign aligns with the Bonfield Review which is due to make recommendations on Consumer Advice and Protection, Standards and Enforcement for UK housing energy efficiency and renewable technologies. It is expected that these will include a new, simple and coherent framework that can be applied consistently across the industry sector to deliver a better experience for consumers which is a key focus for INCA members.
INCA provides expert technical advice and guidance to the industry, including the recently published INCA EWI Best Practice Guide which sets out an accepted minimum standard for installations, standardises common details that occur on site, and provides useful information on the components that make up a finished system. The guide also helps to inform the industry’s clients, including homeowners, architects, main contractors and local authorities, about the correct choice of system for their projects.
INCA Chairman Mitch Gee said: “Given the importance of quality and consumer protection, the publication of this report will bring a much needed direction of focus for the energy efficiency market.
"INCA members are at the forefront of technical expertise and reflect the highest quality standards which is at the heart of our Just INCAse campaign. As the leading trade association for external wall insulation, INCA eagerly anticipates the publication of this report and will work with Government and industry partners to drive forward its recommendations.”
